The Telephonic Psychiatric Consultation Service (TiPS) is a free program funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) that helps providers address the mental health needs of children and adolescents up to age 21 enrolled in Medicaid or CHIP. Available to providers caring for Jefferson Health Plans EverWell and CHIP members, TiPS offers real-time access to regional behavioral health consultation teams, including child psychiatrists, licensed therapists, and care coordinators. The program supports primary care providers, behavioral health clinicians, medical specialists, and other pediatric prescribers with consultation, care coordination, and behavioral health resources.

TiPS services include:

• Psychiatric consultation (phone or in-person)
• Care coordination and referrals
• Provider training and education
